Plume agate inclusions form when iron oxide, manganese oxide, or other oxides were present during the rock formation. The color of the plumes can vary depending on the material present when the rock forms, and in fact sometimes it can occur in multi-colors.
Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, generally are known as stones of generally lower intensity and slower vibrational frequencies than some others, but this is not considered a defect.
