Mookaite activates the deeper aspects of mind and genetic memory. It assists us in perceiving ancestral lessons and in clearing those lessons to free future generations from having to repeat them.
The word “Mookaite” comes from the Aboriginal word “mook” which means “running waters”, in reference to the many fresh water springs that feed Mooka Creek near the Kennedy Ranges in Western Australia where it can be found.
Mookaite is sometimes incorrectly called mookite, mookalite, mookerite, mook, mook jasper, moukaite, moakite, moukalite & mouakite.
Mookaite can be described as chert, opalite, chalcedony or combinations of the three. The degree of silica in the material determines its description.
There are three common variations of Mookaite: yellow, red, and scarlet. Each is unique in its strengths, but they all have common elements, including the strength in a sense of self and communication, as well as a general feeling of increased energy.
The yellow variety is strongest when it comes to life and relationships – especially new relationships — by helping foster excellent communication of needs. The darker yellow crystals are even more proficient in aiding diplomacy and tenacity.
The red variety motivates the mind by helping build self-confidence, focus passion, and active responsibility in life – these types of red Mookaite are considered more masculine.
The lighter reds and pinks are less intense, helping with devotion to the heart’s desires and committing to caring for others – these types of red Mookaite are considered more feminine.
Scarlet Mookaite is about fortitude and endurance, giving the necessary boost to act with courage and independence while also helping protect from physical harm. Dark scarlets are sensual, mature crystals that aide with success in all aspects of life.
